Furniture Brands We Love
One of the many perks of being an interior designer is the availability of furniture and decor companies to source from. As a designer, you have a special relationship with many companies - known as "trade access" - that affords you a much wider selection of products than the average consumer. You get to know these products intimately and can attest to their style, durability, and comfort. We thought it might be fun to give you a window into our world and introduce to you to some of our favorite furniture and decor brands that we regularly work with.
5 Furniture Brands We Love:
Arhaus
We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Arhaus showroom in Raleigh, NC and found their products to be both beautiful and high quality. The majority of their pieces are crafted in the foothills of North Carolina and are customizable with a wide range of fabric choices. There's also a great textural quality to their furniture, as you can see here in their Preston 87" Upholstered Tufted Sofa in Vernon Smoke. If you're wanting to outfit your space with classic pieces that have an edge to them, this is a great place to look.
Mitchell Gold Bob Williams
We love MGBW. The products have this wonderful, modern aesthetic while being totally timeless. Comfort is key with a Mitchell Gold Bob Williams piece, as well. Take this Cooper Return Swivel Chair, for example - the shelter-style seat has the added feature of movement. Once you've been able to swivel while reading and relaxing, you'll never want a traditional lounge chair again.
Design Within Reach
This is a great source for those iconic, modern pieces that often grace the pages of Dwell Magazine. These are not just imitation knock-offs, people. This is the real deal. DWR prides itself on being the supplier of authentic, modern designs - like this Pedrera Coffee Table, designed by Francisco Juan Barba Corsini.
Four Hands
If you're looking to give your space a touch of industrial cool, Four Hands is the way to go. We've found ourselves incorporating their designs into many projects because it always brings that something extra. The hallmark of their products is in the innovative use of material. They have this great way of mixing woods and metals to create furniture pieces with a distinct, modern look. Their Dillon Console is a perfect example, with its combination of distressed wood tones and modern lines.
Jonathan Adler
Finally, no space is complete without a touch of fun. Jonathan Adler has made himself known for designing home furnishings and decor that exhibit a light-hearted, whimsical quality. Styling your home with something like the Ultra Accent Table says "I'm an adult but I'm intriguing and I have a sense of humor - and my cocktail deserves a pretty place to sit."So, are you looking to refresh a room in your home?
