A Touch of Hollywood {Style Guide}
Give 'em the old razzle dazzle. That's always been my mantra. Not really. But I do love a classic, fancy interior. After all, I watched all 7 seasons of Mad Men on Netflix and most of the time I was just salivating over the sets and wanting a little of the look for myself. Do you inappropriately fawn over the styles of old too? Great! Here are some ways of bringing a touch of Hollywood to your modern home.
Hollywood Living
In the living room, create a sense of Hollywood glamour with luxurious materials (velvet, obvs) and curvature. When it comes to color palette, working with a base of black and white gives you a great backdrop for the showstoppers - golds, champagnes, reds, pinks.
Old Hollywood Dining
The dining room is where you pull out all the stops. Thus, don't be afraid to let your eclectic side shine with a mixture of Old Hollywood-inspired forms, funky textiles, and extravagant lighting.
Regency Bed & Bath
A little banana leaf pattern goes a long way. This tropical duvet cover by Eastern Accents steals the show in this moody bedroom. For the bath, get a little indulgent. I mean, nothing says Hollywood like putting a chandelier over your bathtub. Golds and fun, black and white patterns pull the look together.So, whether you're going for Art Deco or Hollywood Regency, adding a few key pieces to your space can really amp up the glam.
